Alvaro "Poyo" Gutierrez

Alvaro was born in Santiago, Chile (1977). At the age of 15, he bought his first bass (made in Chile, red, homemade, called by him “Susodicho”). His main motivation was to play with his classmates, founding the underground experimental rock band “Lapageria” (with Carlos Rojas -Guitar- and Felipe Araya –Drums-). In 1999, Alvaro started an experimental rock project with Felipe called Duodeno (with a new brand-made bass called “La Joya”). They played together until 2002, when Felipe migrated to southern Chile. Alvaro has participated in different music projects with diverse approaches to music such as Borbotones Blues Band and Hooker (Blues) and Sonomade (Funk-Soul). In 2005, Alvaro migrated to Germany and in 2006 met Fabricio with who started Satzmelodie ensemble.
